Adam
and Eve needed no redemption until they disobeyed God. Then Sin entered
unto the world (Genesis 3:1-13)
So
Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden after eating the forbidden
fruit. (Genesis 3:22-24) So we read Paul's letter to the Romans
(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned." Also Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God." So all mankind is under the death penalty of Sin
and must be redeemed and only the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ
will do this (Ephesians 1:7), "In whom we have redemption through
his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."
Again,
Paul says in Romans 3:24, "Being justified freely by his grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
Read
Hebrews 9:22 Galatians 3:22 teaches us that we are all under
Sin. We must accept the redemption price paid for us on the cross, as
He (Jesus) took our Sins upon Himself and opened Heavens doors if we would
only believe and trust Him for buying us back to His Father by His vicarious
death on the cavalry.
A small boy built a small toy boat and painted it blood red. One day down
by the river he was sailing his small boat. He was doing fine until it
got too far out in the river and the current took it quickly out of his
sight.
One
day the little boy and his dad were some hundred miles down the river
and saw a gift shop on Main Street and the little boy saw his boat.
He
said, "Dad, there's my little boat."
The
father said to his son
"No son, the law of the river is that whatever floats down the river,
it belongs to the one who finds it."
The
little fellow said "Dad. I am going in and buy back my little boat."
So
he did and when he came out his father heard him say as he held his little
boat "You were mine, I made you, I lost you and now I have bought
you back, now you are truly mine."
The
story is exactly what happened to mankind. God made us, He lost us in
the garden and Now he has bought us back by the shed of blood of his precious
son, Jesus.
