In
1954, I came to Seagoville, TX to live with my father and mother.
Because of an alcohol addiction, I had lost everything in my life
that I truly cared for, my life was in total chaos.
I
was a physical wreck, alcohol had taken such a toll on my life
that I was mental and spiritual wreck. I had come to the rock
bottom place where I had no other place to go. Taking my own life
was constantly onmy mind so I decided this might be the only way
out.
My
heart was broken. The inner pain was just too much to bear. As
I sat on my mother's couch, I just lifted my eyes upward and with
tears streaming down my face I just cried out to God:
"Please
help me"
I
had no idea that the scriptures taught that:
"Who ever shall call upon
the name of the Lord
shall be saved"
Then
an incredible thing happened. Just like the apostle Paul heard
the voice of Jesus on the Damacus Road, I heard the voice of the
Lord Jesus Christ. He spoke to me and the amazing thing is, he
called me "Dutch". That's not my real name.
He
told me that everything was going to be alright in my life. He
quoted out of the 14th chapter of John's Gospel.
He
told me he had a place prepared for me.
I
know this encounter was real.
I
was born again in a second of time. 2 Corinthians 5:17,
"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new." From
that moment on, my life was completely changed.
One
miracle is that I have never touched a drop of alcohol, God filled
my heart with his love and I've had a burning desire now, for
46 years, to lead men, women, boys and girls into the saving knowledge
of Jesus Christ. That's the purpose of this website. Maybe there
are those out there that I, through Christ, can help.
May
God bless those that read this and come to know Him
who gave His life on a cruel cross,
so we could become the childen of God.
Remember,
Jesus said,
"All that come to me, I will in no wise cast out"
