There is one true God. Isaiah says it well, "Thus saith the Lord,
the King of Israel, and His redeemer the Lord of Hosts; I am the first,
and I am the last; and beside Me there is no other god". Isaiah 44:6
Paul writes, "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing
the He is Lord of Heaven and Earth, dwelleth not in temples made with
His hands; neither is worshipped with men's hand as though He needed anything.
Seeing He giveth to all life and breath and all things. Acts 17:24,25
Psalm 93:1 "The Lord reigneth, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord
is clothed with strength, where with He hath girded Himself, the world
is established that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old,
Thou are from everlasting".
Almighty God is an awesome god, He has always existed, in fact He is self-existent,
self-contained (which mean He does not need us to exist, but He wants
us because He made and loves us). God is omnipotent (all powerful). God
is omnipresence (everywhere at once). God is omniscient (knows all) and
someday you and I will stand before this wonderful, awesome God. One wonders
why this world (mankind) will not believe and except this sovereign being.
Jeremiah says "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything
to hard for Me"? Jeremiah 32:27
Jesus says that He stands at our heart's door knocking, wanting to come
into hearts and change us into the children of God. Jesus won't kick the
door down and force His way in, you must invite Him in by faith and He
said He would save to the uttermost all that would let Him in. Revaluations
3:20
Things I know about God.
1. We have access to God. Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly
unto the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of trouble."
2. We can know His love. Ephesians 2:4-7 "God who is rich in mercy,
for His great love where with He loves us, even when we were dead in sins,
Hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved) and hath
raised us up together and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ
Jesus,; that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of
His grace (love) in His kindness toward us through Jesus Christ.
3. We can know the goodness of God. Lamentations 3:25 :The Lord is good
unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him."
4. We can know the power of God. Ephesians 3:20 "Unto Him that is
able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask of Him according
to the power that worked is us". Hebrews 12:29 "Our God is a
consuming fire".
5. God is our preserver, Acts 17:18 "In Him we live and move and
have our being".
Luke 21:18 "There shall not a hair of your head parish".
Romans 8:28 "We know that all things work together for good to them
that love God".
6. We can have God's wisdom. James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom,
let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally. and up breadth not,
and it shall be given him".
7. You can know that you have a home in Heaven prepared for you. John
14:23 "In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to
prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself;
that where I am, there ye may also be".
When a Christian (one who has been born again) dies he departs this life
lived in on this earth and steps in a new dimension called Heaven. The
he or she will live with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and all
the Saints and Angels of God forever and ever.
Make sure where you are going when you breath your last earthly breath.
Heaven or Hell, the choice is yours to make.
Some will probably say, "Brother Dutch, are you trying to scare us
into excepting Jesus?" Here's a story for you.
If you saw your neighbors house burning and you knew he and his family
were inside what would you do? Just say let him burn or would you break
his door down and try to get him to safety. I think you know the answer.
I will go to any links to keep people out of hell.
I rest my case.
