Webster says "unquestioning, belief that does not require proof or evidence, complete trust, confidence or reliance on Almighty God."

The Apostle says in Hebrews 11:11 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,, the evidence of things not seen."

We come to God by faith, again Paul speaks in Ephesians 2:8 "By grace are you saved, through faith (part A)

How do we believe in someone we have never seen? We do it all the time. How many of you have ever seen Adolph Hitler? You have no trouble believing that. Because history tells you he was a real person.

How reliable are history books? My Bible tells me there was a Moses, Noah, Abraham, Peter, James and John, and there was a man from Galilee named Jesus, who was the Christ.

Why will you believe a history book and not believe the Bible, by the way is the most accurate history book ever written.

Isaiah the prophet wrote, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the Government shall be upon His shoulders and His name shall be called Wonderful, counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

Again Isaiah speaks "Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call His name Immanuel (meaning God with us.)".

Another prophet speaks, Micah 5:2 "But thou Bethlehem, Ephrathm though thou be little among thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

Micah plainly tells us hundreds of years before Jesus was born, exactly where He was to born.

Why will you not believe history? By faith put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Enter by faith into His glorious kingdom.

Let's let the Bible speak, Hebrews 11:6 "But with our faith it is impossible to please Him; For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."

Here's a wonderful Hymn by Palmer and Lowell Mason

My faith looks up to thee

My faith looks up to thee, thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine. Now here me while I pray, Take all my guilt away O let me from this day be wholly thine!

May thy rich grace impart strength to my faintful heart My zeal inspire; As thou has died for me, O may my love to thee Pure, warm and changeless be a living fire.

While life's dark maze I tread, and grief around me spread. Be thou my guide, bid darkness turn to day. Wipe sorrow's tears away, nor let me ever stray, From thee aside

When ends like transient dream, when death's cold sullen stream. shall o'er me roll, Blast Savior their in love fear and distrust remove; O hear me safe above a ransomed soul! Amen

Noah, by faith, built an ark after being warned by God of things (rain) not seen yet. It had never rained on Earth, but Noah believed God by faith, and saved the human race from being terminated.

By faith Abraham went out and left his home, not knowing where he was going. Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Moses by faith refused to be called the son of Pharaoh and choose to live 40 years in the desert. By faith he led the children out of Egypt to the promised line.

Dear friends, put your faith in Christ and you will never be disappointed.

God loves you and wants you for His own.

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 10:17 :So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."
